PTA Committees

SES PTA committees are where much of the work happens. Parent volunteers help support student programs, family events, classroom resources, communications, fundraising, membership, and behind-the-scenes operations throughout the year.

Some roles are year-long, some are event-based, and some are small behind-the-scenes tasks. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there is a place for you to help.

 

These are current areas where we are especially looking for support. Some roles need a lead, while others are great for parents who want to learn, shadow, or help with a smaller part of the work.

Help Wanted

Leads Needed

  • Hospitality Chair: Help create thoughtful moments of appreciation for SES teachers and staff throughout the year.
  • Account Management Lead: Help manage PTA systems, permissions, and organizational setup.
  • Website / Membership Toolkit Support: Help keep our website updated and organized.
  • Volunteer Coordinator: Help connect parents with volunteer opportunities.
  • Inventory Lead: Help organize PTA supplies and event materials.
  • Count me in: Help plan social gatherings and fundraising events just for the grown-ups.
  • Design / Canva Support: Help create flyers, banners, and social graphics.

Co-Lead / Shadow Support

Great for parents who want to learn this year and transition into leadership later.

  • Yearbook: Help capture school memories, organize photos, and support yearbook creation throughout the year.
  • Spirit Wear: Help support spirit wear coordination throughout the year, including vendor communication, design updates or selections, promotions, and occasional teacher/staff gifts for new team members.
  • Birthday Book Club: Help coordinate birthday book selections, family communication, and celebration logistics with the library team.
  • Art Docent & Art Show: Support classroom art activities and help coordinate the student art show and displays
  • Assemblies & Significant Month Observances: Support school assemblies and significant month observances throughout the year with special events, displays, vendor communication and scheduling.

Fundraising helps make many of the programs, events, and enrichment experiences at SES possible.
