What PTA Helps Make Possible

PTA isn’t just support. It’s how things get done at SES.

PTA plays an active role in supporting our school, stepping in where needed to help students, teachers, staff, and families.

Supporting Classrooms & Teachers

We provide classroom resources, teacher funds, and direct support to staff, helping fill gaps when school funding isn’t enough.

Enriching Student Experience

We fund programs and experiences that support the whole child—academically, socially, and creatively. This includes opportunities such as author visits, culturally diverse assemblies, and programs that extend learning beyond the classroom.

Building Community

We create opportunities for families to connect through events and shared school experiences like Pumpkin Walk, Family Picnic, Movie Night, and International Night.

Coordinating Support & Partnerships

We organize volunteers and lead school-wide efforts like the Musical, Project Cornerstone, and Yearbook. We partner with SEF to support programs such as Makerspace, Science Lab, and Garden, and stay connected with the district and other schools.

These are just some of the ways PTA supports SES. Programs and activities evolve each year based on school needs and community input.

Why Join

Joining the PTA is one of the simplest ways to invest in your child’s school.

It helps fund programs, support teachers, and maintain the strong, well-rounded school experience students benefit from every day.

When more families are part of it, the impact is greater.

Membership is $25 per person. A portion supports California State PTA and National PTA, and the rest stays at Saratoga Elementary.

Joining does not require volunteering or attending meetings. It simply means you are part of supporting our school community.

How PTA Works

PTA is a nonprofit organization run by parent volunteers and guided by elected leadership.

Membership is open to everyone
Programs and budget are approved by members
Decisions are made with input from the community
PTA follows established guidelines to ensure transparency and responsible use of funds

SES PTA is also part of a broader network, connecting our school with the district, California State PTA, and National PTA.
