πŸƒ‍♀️ Run Club FAQ πŸƒ‍♂️

Move, make friends, and go the distance!

At SES, kids connect, stay active, and work toward a marathon—one lap at a time—with this PTA-sponsored program.

What is Run Club?

Run Club is a PTA-sponsored program for all 1st–5th graders! Kids work toward completing a full marathon—26.2 miles—over the school year by running or walking laps around the back field during lunch.

They earn a charm for every mile and receive a medal and a shoutout in the weekly PTA newsletter when they complete their marathon!

It’s a great way to exercise, socialize, and HAVE FUN!

When is Run Club?

Tuesdays & Thursdays at lunch
Weather and school schedule permitting.

3rd–5th grade: 12:20–12:40 PM

1st–2nd grade: 12:40–1:00 PM

There are two sessions each year:

  • 🟠 Fall session: September–November
  • 🟒 Spring session: March–May

Where is Run Club?

On the back field at SES—look for the red umbrella near the Treehouse building/handball court!

How can my child join?

No sign-up needed! Kids just show up during their Run Club time, grab a run card at the table, and start running or walking.

They should wear good running shoes and bring their water bottle!

How can I help?

Run Club runs on parent volunteers! We need 3 parent volunteers each session to:

  • Set up and put away the table and cones
  • Mark laps on run cards
  • Hand out charms
  • Cheer on the runners!

Be part of the fun!

To volunteer, click the sign-up link in the PTA e-News.
